Pneumothorax

Pneumothorax

This image shows right-sided tension pneumothorax in a neonate, with visible lung edge and very few pulmonary vascular markings on the right. Tension pneumothorax is a clinical rather than a radiologic diagnosis, but in this image the significant mediastinal shift to the left is highly suggestive of tension pneumothorax.
