Diagnosis and Grade

< 32 Weeks Gestational Age* (2019)†

Diagnosis of BPD

Requiring any respiratory support at 36 weeks CGA, or required supplemental oxygen for ≥ 28 days even if no respiratory support at 36 weeks CGA

Mild: Grade I

NC ≤ 2 L/min at 36 weeks CGA

Moderate: Grade II

NC > 2 L/min, CPAP, or NIPPV at 36 weeks CGA

Severe: Grade III

IMV at 36 weeks CGA
