Fibroids in pregnancy usually remain asymptomatic, but may present with pain from fibroid degeneration. Fibroids may increase risk of (1)

Rarely, fibroids partially obstruct the vagina.

Preconception evaluation is recommended for women who have very large fibroids or who have fibroids and have had a spontaneous abortion.
