Disseminated Gonococcal Infection Affecting the Skin
Disseminated gonococcal infection occurs when an infection with the bacteria that cause gonorrhea spreads through the bloodstream to other parts of the body, especially the skin and joints. It may cause small red spots to appear on the skin. The spots are slightly painful and may be filled with pus.
