This photo shows classic erythematous plaques with vesicular borders on the neck and face in a woman with acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis (Sweet syndrome). The cutaneous lesions consist of excruciatingly tender red to violet papules or nodules that may coalesce to plaques and are distributed asymmetrically over the upper extremities, face, and neck.
