Many organizations are compiling statistics on the COVID-19 pandemic. Here are some recommended tools for viewing the current state of the pandemic.

JHU - Covid-19 global cases

Johns Hopkins University 

The Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University has an interactive map showing the number of cases by country.


CDC - Covid-19 cases by state

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention 

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention provides regular updates of the number of cases in each state.


European CDC - Covid-19 worldwide distribution

European Centre for Disease Control and Prevention 

The European Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, an agency of the European Union, also provides regular updates of the worldwide COVID-19 situation.


WHO - Covid-19 situation dashboard

World Health Organization 

The World Health Organization also provides regular updates of the global situation.


Oxford - total confirmed Covid-19 cases

Our World in Data

Our World in Data, based at the University of Oxford, aims to make the best research on the world’s largest problems available and understandable. Much of their work is concerned with poverty, child mortality, and natural disasters. Recent work on COVID-19 shows data on new deaths and total number of deaths per country.

IMHE Resource Projections

Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME)

The IHME, a global health research center at the University of Washington, has projections for the impact on COVID-19 on hospitals, including ICU beds and ventilator use, for the next several months.
