Barium Swallow: Fluoroscopy
Barium Swallow: Fluoroscopy

Fluoroscopy (a continuous x-ray technique) is used to view the esophagus after a person swallows liquid barium.

In this video, the esophagus can be seen contracting as barium passes through it into the stomach and small intestine.
